BIENVENIDO A MÉXICO
¡¡Hola Hola!!
Another week at the MTC has passed and man was it a rollercoaster.
This week I had traveled to Mexico and said goodbye to my family for the next two years. It was very hard to say goodbye to them but I know that the Lord has work for me in Guatemala.
Overall this week was awesome, I got to meet my district in person and man they are so awesome. It's been awesome to hear their testimonies and practice Spanish with them everyday! I've also been speaking in Spanish with the missionaries that are native to Mexico. They had so many questions about LA and the culture in the states, it's been fun to make friends with them. They asked me if I know LeBron James which was pretty funny.
The food here at the CCM has been awesome, I have been on cloud 9 with tacos and enchiladas almost everyday, MUY DELICIOSO.
I also got to meet my teachers Hermano Sosa and Hermana Garcia in person. We have been having class in 99% Spanish so it's definitely been a growing experience and I'm all here for it. ¿¿QUE ES INGLÉS?? The gift of tounges is real yall but we gotta work for it!
Me and my companion Elder Fausett had the opportunity to have our 3rd lesson this week with a lady named Selena. We taught her about the story of Nephi and how he went to retrieve the plates from the hands of Laban. She was touched by the story and I could feel the spirit so strong with her. I administered my first challenge to her as a missionary and that was to "think about a difficult time during your life and how your faith helped you to overcome it" and I would like to extend that challenge to yall as we
I would like to share with yall about what I learned this week from my personal study. This week I studied the life of Paul. I belive that one of the prime examples that we should model off is the apostle Paul who was a missionary that was sent to practice and minister along the Gentiles after he was converted to the church. Even though Paul was a missionary he was met with mistrust and jealousy even by some within the church and with violent persecution from those who were not members. However even through his greatest trials Paul stayed committed to preaching the gospel among the Jews, Greeks, and Romans.
The Gentiles flocked to hear Paul speak and he played a pivotal role in establishing the church among the world. Through latter day revelation we have been told that we must take the gospel to every nation and people. Studying the life of Paul has assured me that the lord never gives us a task without preparing a way for us to accomplish it.
I would like to share my testimony in Español
Sé que Jesús vive. Sé que a través de su expiación podemos ser perdonados por nuestros pecados. Sé que su iglesia está restaurada hoy y está dirigida por Rusell M Nelson. en el nombre de Jesucristo amén.
I know that Jesus lives. I know that through his atonement we can be forgiven for our sins. I know that his church is restored today and is lead by Rusell M Nelson. in the name of Jesus christ amen.
Hope yall have a good week!!
